Dear Brothers and Sisters,
GOD mightily blessed Forging Disciples’ effort during 2020!
Here’s a glimpse of the impact He made:
Weekly encouragements texted to over 220 men
Guiding us to help thirty-one (31) get to Know God and make Him Know to other men through life on life discipleship
Began discipling the Senior Pastor and another man in Veritas Church in Roseville to build the foundation to begin a discipleship movement with Veritas. We’ve held discussions with three other area churches who have expressed an interest in developing life on life discipleship within their body of men
Held a workshop, “Healing Our Father Wounds” at William Jessup University
Selected, discipled, and trained eleven (11) disciplers to be disciple-makers
Developed a Discipleship Handbook for use by our disciplers
Created a new Forging Disciples web site (www.forgingdisciples.org)
Selected three men to join our Board of Directors: John Schoeppach, Bill Hagerty, and Geoff Brandt, who died from a heart attack late this year
Expanded our geographical reach by inviting three men to join our team: Don Male in North Carolina along with Ed Hunter and Spencer Slater both of who are located in Southern California
Created and distributed five trifold handout cards to spur men on in areas that are missing in most men: Quiet Time with the Lord, Discipleship Accountability, The Lord’s Prayer, the Power of Forgiveness, and Being the Spiritual Leader in Your Home.
Our Father also guided us through trials of many kinds this year …. some of us lost a loved one, others have experienced health emergencies and others have faced uncertainty in their job or their finances. What’s incredible is the incredible way these men have responded during trials. We’ve seen men:
Finding peace and joy in the midst of their trials
Families being drawn closer to God
Making the time to serve those outside of their families
Developing a richness in both their prayer lives and in their daily quiet time with Jesus
Men reconciling with their father through forgiveness … immensely powerful!
But the most important thing to share with you is that the lives of men and their families are being transformed as they learn to Know Him and make Him Known. These men are closer to God today than ever before and we owe this privilege to our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
While this may appear as a report card, it is our intent to let those following or intimately involved with Forging Disciples to know all the things God accomplished through our combined efforts.
We are grateful for those of you that God has placed in our path in 2020, and it is with great excitement and anticipation that we look forward to seeing what He will do in and through Forging Disciples in the coming years.
To help moving forward please consider: please refer men who want to Know Jesus, introducing us to your Pastor, join our prayer team, consider becoming a discipler and help us organically promote Forging Disciples to your family members, friends, and church family.
It is also our intention to let you know that we are looking to raise an additional $50,000 in donations in 2020/2021 to increase our operating funds by $25,000 and set aside $25,000 to support holding a “Building Kingdom Minded Men” conference with a purpose of initiating life on life discipleship in our greater Sacramento region, which is our mission.
If you believe in the work that Forging Disciples is doing, your support would be very much appreciated. To donate to Forging Disciples … click here donations page.
We are grateful that God is using Forging Disciples as instruments for His glorious purpose and knowing that we couldn’t have accomplished this without your prayers and financial support.
In Christ,
Bill Coibion, Jeremiah Miller, and the Board of Directors
