Focus on the Who, Not the What

GOD morning men,

The things we fix our eyes on become our reality. If you keep your eyes, and your mind focused on the daily details of this world: your goals, your work, your paycheck, your things, even your family, then those worldly things become your reality. If instead you turn to God and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, then His character and His will and purpose for you will become your reality. Don’t let all the distractions of life pull your gaze off of him. Keep your focus on the Who, not the what.

Dear Lord, please accept us in the weakened condition we are in today. Help us to remember the words You spoke to Paul “my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”. And Paul responded, “therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong”.

May the week ahead of us be one that allows us to demonstrate our love and devotion to you Lord through our thoughts, deeds, and actions. May we seek to focus on being patient and kind to all you bring onto our path this coming week. Holy Spirit, please give us the strength to continually keep our eyes focused on Jesus and not our circumstances. Amen.

In Christ,

Bill
